Join the formal voting membership of our federal non-profit corporation under the Canada NFP Act. Shape organizational governance, attend the AGM, and vote on bylaws and directors.

Voting Membership Application

Under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, YBSP Canada is owned collectively by its registered members. Membership confers voting rights at Annual General Meetings, fiduciary oversight, and eligibility to serve on working committees and the Board of Directors.

Membership Criteria & Governance Rights

Membership is open to individuals aged 18+ residing in Canada who endorse our charter mandate of youth empowerment and poverty alleviation.

  • Voting Rights: One vote per registered member on corporate resolutions and director elections.
  • AGM Participation: Access to annual audited financial reports and direct dialogue with the Board.
  • Review Process: Submitting this application does not confer instantaneous membership. Pursuant to corporate by-laws, all applications are formally reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.

Working groups allow active members to collaborate on targeted operational and governance initiatives. They bridge member expertise with organizational impact.

Youth Programs & Mentorship Working Group

Focuses on cohort curriculum, applied AI workshops, mentor pairing guidelines, and evaluation metrics for youth career readiness.

Expected Commitment: 2 – 4 hours/month
Useful Skills: Education, career coaching, digital/AI tools, workshop delivery

Manages bilateral communication protocols with YBSP Burundi, tracking #SororaIkaye education sponsorships and vocational toolkit distributions.

Expected Commitment: 2 – 4 hours/month
