Building the Canadian Chapter of YBSP

Youth Building in Synergy to end Poverty (YBSP Canada) brings together youth, diaspora leaders, and community partners across Canada. We believe young people are the ultimate catalysts for economic self-sufficiency. Through practical career mentorship, applied AI literacy, social entrepreneurship training, and direct international solidarity, we work to break the cycle of poverty at home and abroad.

Why YBSP in Canada?

Canada is home to a growing generation of vibrant young people, newcomers, and members of the African diaspora. While Canada offers tremendous promise, many youth face systemic hurdles in accessing career networks, executive mentorship, and business startup capital.

YBSP Canada creates structured spaces where youth gain 21st-century digital competencies, connect with professional mentors, and build local social ventures, while nurturing an authentic bridge of solidarity with youth in Burundi.

Youth Building in Synergy to end Poverty is a federally incorporated not-for-profit corporation under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (NFP Act).

In accordance with Section 8 of our Articles of Incorporation, our Board of Directors serves on a strictly voluntary, non-remunerated basis to safeguard public trust, mission adherence, and financial integrity.

Notice regarding tax receipts: YBSP Canada is incorporated as an NFP corporation under federal law. We are not yet registered as a charitable entity with the CRA; direct gifts do not generate tax deduction receipts unless facilitated through registered philanthropic partners.
